Hike + Yoga in the Canyon | March, 2nd | Tanque Verde, AZ

$45.00
sold out

On March 2nd we are celebrating the first hints of Spring by taking you out to one of Tucson’s finest treasures, Tanque Verde Canyon!

2:30pm - Hike

3:30pm- Yoga

Enjoy a scenic hike down the canyon-side, where we will practice yoga on the desert beach in a balanced 75-minute format!

Start with Kye who will warm us up and get our bodies awakened to the natural energies of the desert with a 45 minute slow-flow practice.

For the second half of class Neti will slow us down even more and ground us into our bodies, fostering a deeper connection with the Earth.

Note: The hike down is about 3/4 a mile down a canyon side. This is a clearly marked trail, but does have some steep and rocky parts.

You can hike out right after class, or if there is water, you can stick around for a cold dip + fireside warmup and enjoy the post-yoga vibes with a group of rad humans.

Sound like your kind of Sunday?

We invite you to join us!

**Please note: There will be no bathroom facilities available. “Backcountry” bathroom practices only.

This one is going to be so rejuvenating! I can’t wait to see you out there!

Your Instructors:

Pranayama + Yin Instructor:

Neti Gupta will offer 45 minutes of deep, slow relaxation. We will begin with pranayama, breathing techniques, to settle into our parasympathetic nervous system, followed by a short yin yoga practice. Neti aims to create a relaxing atmosphere where students can soak in the beautiful environment through the senses, and drop into their bodies through breath.

Neti Gupta is a yoga teacher and lifelong learner based in Tucson, Arizona. Neti is a first-generation Indian American who is passionate about connecting her Hindu roots with western practice. Neti earned her RYT-200 at YogaOasis and is working on her RYT-500 certification as well.

Slow Flow Yoga Instructor:

Hey there, I’m Kye, the owner of Out There Yoga! I have been teaching yoga for the past 9 years, the last 6 being predominantly outside! I came to yoga through my struggle with mental health in my early 20’s and found it to have transformative effects on my mind and body! Out There Yoga was naturally born out of my adoration for Mother Nature and spending time recalibrating outdoors via backpacking/camping.

Today I live and work by my mission: To reconnect people to nature through transformative outdoor yoga experiences! I believe humans simply need to be reminded of the inherent bond between humanity and the natural world, and that through that bond they can experience utmost presence and peace. I am stoked to experience the magical blend of nature and yoga with you!
